Born in Angola and raised partially there and in Portugal, I am a native speaker of Portuguese. I have spent 10 years at universities in Germany and Switzerland, teaching postcolonial literatures and cultures in English and German, while also working in collaboration with cultural institutions and schools to promote postcolonial works, performances, artists and activists.

During my years at university I researched on the globalization of rap music and I have a podcast project dedicated to the political dimensions of global rap. I am excited to continue working with people and projects that aim to fight racial prejudice and historical amnesia, while also celebrating the exciting diversity of postcolonial cultures across the globe.
